We met up with our bride Danielle after her wedding, and she said something that we will never forget and perfectly sums up our overall view on weddings: “When you stop thinking about your wedding as a wedding, and start thinking of it as a big party, you can really get creative.” And they did! We loved all the fun ideas these two incorporated into their wedding. The highlights for us were their temporary tattoo station and a pinata, made by Danielle, full of glow sticks and candy!
We had the pleasure of working with Green Ginger Photography again, and they did not dissapoint. All photos above are courtesy of them!
The ceremony was held at the Oasis at the Elim and the reception followed at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavillion. Wedding party photos were taken at Burnaby Lake Greenhouses, and all the beautiful florals for the wedding were provided from here as well. We loved everything about the couple’s decor choices, which created a very playful and colourful environment. Most of the decor was made by the bride, groom and their family, from the ceiling swag to the table runners.
Guests enjoyed vegan appy’s and dinner from Graze. Danielle and Dan really wanted to showcase that you do not need a meat option to complete a meal. We didn’t end up converting, but we really did enjoy this alternative meat-less meal! The meal was followed by an awesome dance party, courtesy of our friend DJ Roger Lam.
We really could go on about this wedding forever. We loved it so much and are so grateful to have been part of this extremely special day.
