Chris and Courtney’s Penticton Wedding

With all the 2021 cancellations and postponements happening, I’ve decided this is the perfect time to catch up on blogging. And man, do we have a LOT of weddings to share, mostly from before this crazy year we just had! Here is the story of planning Chris and Courtney’s wedding in Penticton!

When I met Courtney for the first time, we both left the meeting knowing that we were a perfect wedding planning match! She left and met with another planner just to make sure… but quickly came back to me and we went on to plan the most amazing wedding together!

Courtney and Chris love the Okanagan and wanted to plan a destination wedding there. We looked at wineries all over the Okanagan, but ultimately ended up at the best hidden gem bed and breakfast in Penticton called E’Laysa.  This property is stunning!  A family run business with a large home and cabins on the property where some wedding guests were able to stay.  The property had the perfect backyard to host the wedding reception, as well as a beautiful clearing on top of a hill for the wedding ceremony – overlooking beautiful wineries and the lake.

Thus began the search for the perfect wedding vendors in Penticton! Since we are all from Vancouver, we had to research and decide on the perfect wedding vendors to participate in the wedding. We started with photography and ended up hiring Tailored Fit Photography, who’s team was awesome to work with! We then decided on Common & Co. For videography.  For catering we worked with Flambe Catering who provided an amazing buffet spread of delicious food with a home made and local approach. It was soooo good!!

Decor and rentals were a combo of items from Westminster Party Rentals, linens from Lonsdale Events, geometric terrariums from Debut Events, and florals from Endless Blooms.  Our colour palette was purple, gold and greenery – we love when clients arn’t afraid to use colour!  Colour is awesome!

Beauty services were provided by Jenna Jones, who we absolutely love and have worked another wedding with since this one!  Courtney could not have been happier and told me everyone deserved to be fussed over like this at their wedding.  She was so happy with the whole experience, and looked absolutely stunning – as did the rest of the gorgeous ladies in her wedding party.

One incredibly memorable aspect of this wedding was Courtney’s Mom Squad – her birth mother, step mother and mother-in-law that were all there to support her during her wedding planning journey.  It was so lovely that these mothers all got along so well so that Courtney could include them all in her celebration.  It was just the best!  #momsquad

Thanks for checking this out! We love Okanagan Weddings, and getting out of the city is our very favourite thing! We hope to get to do plan a lot more weddings there in the near future!
