The Cheakamus Centre in Squamish is one of the most unique and beautiful event spaces in BC. Imagine a venue that is basically a wooden box in the sky, surrounded by amazing forests and a river running right beside it. It was so nice to have an event in a space like this and have a break from the city for a second. It’s so beautiful there!
Our couple, Wilson and Lily, could not be more perfect for each other or more in love. As part of Lily’s vows, she told Wilson she loved him because he always let her have the last bite of food. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is!

Lily and Wilson both have a great sense of humour, and took part in all of the games the MC’s coordinated for them that night. Our favourite was when Wilson had to leap frog over to Lily to mimic a kiss. Their friends got really creative for this portion of the night.
The couple provided a Lucky’s Doughnuts bar for their guests for dessert. We learned that day that they can make them 3/4 sized for events like this, and they were perfect! This wedding was also the first time we got to work with Billie’s Flower House, and their arrangements were stunning!

Cristie was awesome to work with! We hired Cristie several months before our June wedding as our day-of coordinator and she was super enthusiastic, helpful and accommodating from the start. She was always quick to respond to our emails/texts, and supported our vision and complemented our ideas. Cristie and her assistant picked up our dessert and flowers early on the day of our wedding, set up all of our decor at the venue, made sure everything (and everyone) was on time, and took care of the take down at the end of the night. They worked tirelessly all day. She incorporated some of her decor, displayed our decor perfectly and the reception area looked SO amazing – it turned out even better than I had imagined. We are so grateful for her cheerfulness and can-do attitude throughout the process.
It is clear that Cristie absolutely loves her job and is dedicated to making couples happy on their big day. Thank you Cristie for making our wedding day so special!
